If displacer in gamma is too small it needs more heat?

my first engine will only run off of my gas stove when its on medium and only 100 rpm at the most. could this be my displacer is too small? i plan on making another engine that uses sheets of cork bolted together as a displacer.

Trouble shooting needs to take many factors into account. I have listed some of them here:

You need to look at:
Engine Timing
Pressure Leaks
Temperature Differential
Friction
Thermal Shorting
Design Issues
