What opinions do you have regarding lathe turned pistons of graphite in Stirling engine (power pistons)?

And/or:

What experiences have you acquired machining and/or using power pistons turned from graphite?

All views are of interest (to me), be they good, bad or indifferent.

Here are one or two handy opinions (and experiences) from people who are members on different forums (the one that surprised me most was the tip to bake the stock bar before turning it so as to have no residual moisture trapped within):

All thoughts, opinions and experiences regarding graphite piston making and using are sought..... thanks!
