The Al-Cool Fan belonged to my Grandfather he bought it at a hardware store in 1917. I built a copy of the Al-Cool fan about 20 year ago. Since then I have built several other engines. These are by best engines.

Fan by the Al-Cool Fan company of Chicago Illinois date 1917.

Nice running fans. Your copy looks as good as the original in the posted video. Good thing I don't have better metal working tools, lathe etc. or I'd never leave the garage.

Very impressive engines. The videos are a very nice touch. Did the original Stirling fan require restoration? Do you have anymore information on who made it, how much it originally cost, etc?
