I would say it's still moderately small. Although the don't look as pretty as store bought engines, I prefer to build my own. For someone without a machine shop it looks quite nice. I have a little Bohm HB7, it is often difficult to get going, each time I have to remove the piston, and clean the bore and piston. Where as my smallest home built motor has none of those troubles, and although it has only a 3/8" bore and 1/2" stroke I think it would have enough power to drive a small generator and light an LED, no way could the Bohm motor do anything like that.
