Engine Project Query

Post by Jeromebernardjames »

I write to inquire if anyone has modified a stirling engine to also include a dehumidifier. Have a small cabin and would like to make a project of this. Guidance sought.

To make a dehumidifier you could run a Stirling Engine in reverse, ie., run it as a Cryocooler. this involves driving it with a motor in it's normal direction, the hot end gets cold, and moisture/humidity condenses on it, it will probably freeze. Mean while the cold end will get hot, so good cooling is needed.
