The one in my gallery listed as my second motor can drag a full 20L container of water 20 meters on grass, with a winch that I made for it (that was all the cord that I had on the drum), it also lifted a 50kg weight 2 meters in my workshop. I can't remember the gear ratio, but it was quite low. Ian S C

That motor was probably producing 5 Watts of power, at that power it takes a long time to move things, but they do move. I went and got the winch, the ratio is 13 : 1, I use a 4 : 1 reduction from the motor, and a snatch block on the nylon cord, I think that totals 104 : 1 ratio, The drum is about 1 1/2" diameter, with the motor running at 650rpm, it's slow.
