I found an old fire extinguisher in steel, and i cut the top of it. look like i can use it as a cylinder.its 8.8cm wide and 16cm long,
but do i need a longer cylinder, cause i have read that the lenght of the cylinder should be 3 times the diameter, and that will be 26.4cm??,is that right?
am i 10cm short here?

The displacer cylinder you have will have a displacer about 85 mm dia., that requires to be around 255 mm long, plus room for the stroke, and about 1.5 to 2 mm clearance at each end. Your 160 mm would be good for the hot cap, and you could extend it to make up the full size. It's going to be quite a big motor.

Thank you ian so much,i will try to make the cold end asap.
i will make a 2 plates between the hot and cold end,so i can screw the parts together!.i can think its a little hard to allign the cylinder walls!!
i will come with an update as soon as i do some work!!
Thanks again Ian S C

Iam also thinking to use a bikecykle/motorcykle wheel air hose as gasket between the hot and cold side.that should go i think.will the displacer piston rub against the cylinder flange??.are there any tricks to make the flange be friction less??

Lars, put the flange on one cylinder with a little bit protruding, and on the other have the hole big enough to take the protrusion, the cylinders will line up as long as they are square, this way will be easier to seal.
