Hi All
I am new to site and seeking information regarding design of a sterling cycle engine operating to produce cold water/glycol mix. target temperature is -20 degrees C. I have several kilowatts of residual work available from a process at an output shaft. Can anyone assist?

Pawsquiggle, a fairly simple stirling engine, driven will easily give you - 20*C, drive it hard enough, it will do better than that. It's best to build a cryocooler a bit heavier than it would be if it were a motor. It's probably best if it is liquid cooled, with an effective radiator, it is important to get rid of the heat as quick as possible. Ian S C
