Hi
Sorry for a topic other than Stirling Engine.
I was looking around my workplace and found out this measuring device. Do you know what is it called and for what is it used. Its a sort of depth gauge and it can measure angles also. If anyone of you know how to use it, it will be of great help.
thanks

Rustybarrel, What sort of work is done at your workplace? That may help, I'll keep a look out for an idea. Ian S C

Hi
i work on oil rigs and ships. our workshop is pretty basic with tools like lathe, drill press and welding machines. we do not undertake heavy work. just what is required for day to day running and normal maintenance. for heavy work or special requirement we get it done on shore. Thats why i dont know what this thing is? we normally dont go beyond vernier callipers, screw gauges and depth gauges.
