Sourcing parts at a reasonable price (or at all if they exist) can be a difficult challenge. We should all share what we know in one thread so we can all find just that piece we're looking for. :)
company name, site, product, price... whatever you got.
To start off:
http://www.beckergraphite.com/stock.html
cheapest place i know of to get graphite or carbon rods, 12'' length minimum. 12''x1''dia for just over $8, smaller diameters much cheaper, carbon cheaper as well.
http://www.airpot.com/html/actuator.html
The most beautiful pneumatic actuators i have ever seen... A Graphite piston hollowed for least amount of weight, placed in a Pyrex cylinder. responds to .5 psi
the price is about $50, but if you go to there homepage you can request a free sample, they'll send you the 2k 160P. If you cant attain this level of awesome it is worth every penny!
