Hi,
I'm new here......
Have got a 'bought' stove-top stirling engine driving a fan to circulate the hot air into the room - a great wee gadget!

Hello everyone!
The construction of these friendly engines gives me a really good time, so I was pleased to find this page with people who like the same.
I hope I can contribute something, although my experience is not very big, and my work is not tied to the industry.
This post is made with a translator, sorry for the bad grammar.
Greetings to all from Spain.

Hello all, Hawke here.
Joined to look around for a while. On my second LTD engine which I havent given up on yet, but learning about the dynamics and need for precision with these. (Displacer issues) I got interested in steam engines and have had some success on the lower skill level. I got sidetracked on looking ahead to make a generator to be driven by the steam engine. From there I was stung by my old electrical background and made a few model electric motors and generators.
Ordered a nice steam boiler yet to arrive, and thought I would dabble with these stirlings. Ratio of displacer chamber and piston size has my interest, seems this is a deeper science at this point than I expected.
My Model Electric Motor:

Hello,
Rick Fish here. I live near Saratoga NY. I am a process control engineer in the paper industry.
I've been looking for a new hobby since my kid went to college.
I have seen a ton of YouTube videos on fake magnet motors and gravity machines.
I thought I would come back to earth and learn a real technology.
I wish there was more on the internet about large stirling engines.
I hope to start small with the tincan engines and get bigger and bigger.
Sounds like fun, eh?

Welcome aboard rick fish, you should learn a little here. What sort of workshop do you have? If you get hooked, a small to middle size lathe would be handy, but as an engineer you'll know about that. Ian S C
