Introduction Rosch Innovations confronts a number of difficulties in the German energy sector. The industry is moving toward renewable energy sources, which puts pressure on conventional power providers. Meanwhile, powerful players in the sector attempt to raise doubt on Rosch's novel technology. The business is also debating whether to go public with its ground-breaking kinetic power plant (KPP) technology, which has the potential to completely transform the world's energy market. Rosch Innovation is also investigating possibilities including retaining voting rights and non-compete agreements in order to safeguard their important intellectual property and patents. They must create a strong sales plan to inform and persuade prospective clients about the KPP technology. In addition, the negative way their company has been portrayed in the media has been a setback, and they are careful about who they let near their technology. In general, Rosch Innovations has difficulties navigating the energy sector, safeguarding its intellectual property, and persuading the public of the practicality of its ground-breaking KPP technology. Thesis Statement Rosch Innovations faces challenges with resistance from established forces in the German energy industry, the decision of whether to go public with their revolutionary KPP
technology, the need to protect their intellectual property, and the difficulty of educating and convincing the public about the viability of their technology. Background Rosch Innovations, established in 2012 by CEO Detlef Dohmen, is a German company specializing in innovative energy technologies. Its flagship product, the Kinetic Power Plant (KPP), is a groundbreaking solution that generates electricity by utilizing the buoyancy of air in water. Against the backdrop of Germany's energy sector, which is undergoing a significant transformation with a focus on renewable energy sources and the phase-out of nuclear power following the Fukushima disaster, Rosch stands poised to disrupt the industry. Established energy providers in Germany, like RWE and E.ON, are grappling with declining profits and share prices as they adapt to the shifting landscape and compete with renewable energy alternatives. Rosch's KPP technology promises 24/7 electricity generation, independence from weather conditions, and cost-efficiency, making it a key player in the changing energy landscape. Detlef Dohmen, with a background in law and business, has a history of buying, reforming, and selling small companies, using his private capital for investments. Rosch Innovations has been actively engaged in the challenge of educating the public, investors, and potential partners about the KPP. However, the technology has faced skepticism due to its unconventional principles, necessitating efforts to ensure public understanding. The company is currently
deliberating on its go-to-market and sales strategy, considering options like entering the power plant construction industry, licensing the technology, or selling the patent to a larger energy player. Key factors influencing these decisions include financing needs, competition, and intellectual property protection. Rosch's KPP technology is highly cost-effective, with estimates suggesting a production cost of as low as three eurocents per kWh, less than half the cost of solar and wind energy. The company has maintained a commitment to eschewing loans, relying on private financing, which encourages fiscal caution but also restricts the pace of technology development. The most pressing issue in this case is the challenge of educating various stakeholders about the KPP technology. Overcoming skepticism and ensuring public understanding is vital to gain investor confidence and foster partnerships. Another significant issue revolves around determining the go-to-market and sales strategy. Decisions about entering the power plant construction industry, licensing, or selling the patent will significantly shape the company's future. These choices depend on factors like financing needs, competition, and intellectual property protection. The case also centers on the decision of whether Rosch should remain a private entity or embark on a substantial initial public offering (IPO). The IPO decision is complicated by the potential value of the technology, maintaining control, and the risk of being acquired by a larger energy corporation. Additionally, the technology's open-source potential raises questions about future development and how to protect intellectual property. These issues are intertwined with Rosch's long-term strategy for establishing itself as a technology leader in the energy market.
Evaluation of the Case 1.Recruiting In the case, it was detailed how Rosch and its team were formed. Dohmen, CEO of Rosch Innovations, was able to recruit skilled and knowledgeable people in his team which worked out well specifically in working on the KPP. He was able to recruit the lead engineer of Belgrade engineering consultancy and even top engineers from the Serbian military. This worked out well because Dohmen was able to build a team of engineers who were passionate and genuinely interested and excited about the technology they were about to create. Similarly, Dohmen was able to create a sales and IT team that was just as enthusiastic about the technology which overall benefited the company. 2.Funding In the case, the CEO decided to fund the project using his private funds which worked well at first particularly on protecting their intellectual property. However, the company was limited on their activities for this reason as well which meant that private financing was no longer working. The CEO, Dohmen, then decided to loan from a bank, but because of competition, specifically a German energy conglomerate having several accounts in the same bank, the loan was turned down. This did not work well for Rosch Innovations and even for their future as they were not able to gain backing from a reputable bank institution which could have helped them in the future when they start to introduce their technology. Although bank loans did
not work for the company, selling small amounts of shares to potential clients and investors worked as another funding source for the company. Additionally, through the sale of small amounts of shares, the company may use how much they sold these shares as a basis for when they offer their technology publicly. 3.Educating the public about the technology Dohmen was ardent about offering hands-on demos for potential customers and investors. He even often engaged directly with visitors, touring them around and guiding them through the intricacies of the technology they created. This approach worked well as it showed transparency and eagerness to establish rapport with their audience. It is also stated that after experiencing this and seeing the demonstrations, 90 percent of visitors left the facilities convinced that the technology is working. What did not work though was their portrayal in the media as they were portrayed to be shady and unfavorable. They also focused on maintaining a low profile online in order to protect intellectual property but the trade off was that people had a hard time discovering them. This also somewhat explains why many people had a lot of skepticism and were critical before actually seeing the technology in action. This decision also perhaps led to less investors as the lack of information online can steer away those who try finding information online first before actually paying visits to facilities. 4.Future of the company and their technology
The Kinetic Power Plant, is a very innovative and groundbreaking technology that if proven to work, could be a globally competitive source of energy. They claim that it costs less than solar or wind energy that can be continuous and self-sustaining regardless of the factors surrounding it. It is also modular and users can adjust the number of modules to suit their needs be it for a private home or a large scale business . Like in the previous statements, their problem is having too private of a business that can steer away customers and investors. Their product's functionality may sound too good to be true and limiting the information on it can make it feel like a scam. This is the thing that most hinders their progress since they are a self-funded company. They will not be able to scale up if they continue to gatekeep everything to know about their product since people are less likely to buy or invest in something that they know nothing about. Proposed Solution/Changes 1.Licensing As mentioned in the introduction above, Rosch Innovation is also investigating possibilities including retaining voting rights and non-compete agreements in order to safeguard their important intellectual property and patents. With that being said, Rosch Innovations should consider licensing. Licensing is defined as a business arrangement in which one company grants another company temporary access to its intellectual property rights, such as a manufacturing
process, brand name, copyright, trademark, patent, technology, trade secret, and so on, in exchange for adequate consideration and under specified conditions. Licensing the technology to existing energy firms can provide a consistent source of cash while using their building and operating knowledge. This can help Rosch grow more quickly. In addition, if rosch innovation does decide to accomplish licensing, it can serve many benefits to the company such as Steady income, capital infusion, rapid market entry, accelerated development and reduced financial risk. 2.Partnerships Rosch Innovations can rely heavily on partnerships to advance its revolutionary Kinetic Power Plant (KPP) technology. These relationships serve a variety of reasons, ranging from technological validation through research institutes to market entry and expansion through strategic alliances with major energy firms. Partnerships can also give access to resources, such as venture capital investments and governmental funding. They help with educational outreach and public awareness campaigns, as well as research and development activities. Partnerships also preserve Rosch's intellectual property, making them an effective method for overcoming obstacles, gaining credibility, and speeding the adoption of KPP technology in the volatile energy industry
3.Public Campaigns Another key point that Rosch Innovations is currently struggling with is trying to get public opinion on their side. The best probable solution to this would be to invest in a public campaign to educate stakeholders, the general public, and investors about the KPP technology that they are bringing in. These can include events, workshops, advertisements on social media, and every other marketing strategy possible. According to a study conducted by Kellog Insight (2021) on the matter of how positive advertisements could have changed the presidential election percentage from 50% to 52%, the same logic kind of applies in the realm of business. When companies put effort into trying to sway public opinion, it will most probably end up in a success, especially if the campaign is well thought out. 4.Making a break for the power plant construction industry. If Rosch Innovations is willing to take a big risk on its success, it should consider trying to make it into the powerplant construction industry. Rosch innovations constructing their own powerplants means that they have full control over the facilities and its day-to-day operations. In addition, this also gains them a tad bit of revenue that can be used for further improvements and R&D. Most importantly, it can showcase the KPP power plants to the world; this would exhibit its reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness to the public.
5.Proceed with the IPO. This change has its pros and cons. Launching a company to the public can turn out to be the best decision one has ever made, or it could also be the downfall of the company. For Rosch Innovations, going public means being able to gain a substantial amount of capital to grow the company, but it also comes with its constraints, the constraints being increased regulatory requirements and the obligation of full transparency. Recommendations In order to effectively implement the proposed solutions in Rosch Innovations, it is recommended that the company choose a comprehensive and diverse strategy. In the context of licensing, Rosch is required to engage in negotiations with potential stakeholders in the energy sector. These negotiations involve granting temporary access to their valuable intellectual property and patented technologies, in exchange for financial compensation and specified arrangements. Rosch is expected to generate consistent profits by the licensing of its technology to well-established energy corporations possessing extensive operational expertise, thereby leveraging their practical efficiency in the development of oil and gas fields. The establishment of a steady revenue stream and facilitation of rapid entry into global markets are achieved, thereby mitigating financial risks and fostering the rapid expansion of their KPP technology
The integration of collaborative efforts with strategic partners should be a prominent aspect of Rosch Innovations' operational framework. The validation of the KPP technology holds significant importance, which may be effectively achieved through strategic collaborations with reputable research institutes and prominent energy corporations. The alliances additionally provide access to significant resources, including crucial venture capital investments and even governmental funding. Partnerships also serve to enhance educational programs, facilitate the establishment of public awareness initiatives, and foster research and development activities, solidifying Rosch's position as a reputable participant in the energy industry. To overcome this obstacle and garner widespread popular support, Rosch should undertake a comprehensive mass campaign approach. Nevertheless, this campaign encompasses a diverse range of strategies, such as the facilitation of seminars and workshops. Considering the potential of a well-designed and supported study to influence public sentiment favorably. Thus, Rosch effectively establishes a robust foundation of support for the KPP technology through the dissemination of knowledge to stakeholders, the general public, and prospective investors, thereby enhancing the prospects of success in the industry. To ensure the sustainability and adoption of its breakthrough innovations, Rosch Innovation can employ a comprehensive strategy that encompasses licensing, strategic collaborations, and public campaigns. This multi-faceted approach will enable the company to establish a favorable position in the market
It would be advisable for Rosch to proceed with an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The decision to pursue an initial public offering (IPO) as a means of securing additional capital for business expansion is widely seen as a favorable strategy. However, it is important to acknowledge that the IPO process carries inherent risks. However, it is important to note that there are several limitations associated with this approach, such as heightened regulatory requirements and complete vulnerability. Nevertheless, it is imperative to carefully evaluate the potential advantages in comparison to the limitations before arriving at a conclusion, as this is crucial for determining the future success and development of Rosch Innovations. By integrating licensing, collaborations, and public campaigns as strategic initiatives, and then layering additional components, a comprehensive yet adaptable roadmap is established for the competitive energy market

This 'initial operating principle" sounds much closer to "Flooid".method.Rosch initially relied on a physically impossible operating principle in which two vertical shafts of different diameters are to be dug into the ground and filled with water. At the deepest point, the shafts are connected to one another (principle of "communicating tubes" or the hose level). By circumventing the principle of the hydrostatic paradox, a continuous flow of water is to be created, contradicting established physical conditions, and the energy from this flow can be used. This principle has since been abandoned without an explanation.
Instead, the company later switched to trying to convince interested parties and customers of an alternative concept in which buoyancy bodies arranged underwater are filled with air and thus become lighter than water.
And that:Rosch (derived from RObert SCHrade )
Also:The inventor Robert Schrade no longer appears as managing director or shareholder in the aforementioned companies.
The is, however a critic/hit job type treatment that includes the mythical hole and power cable through the wall:A prototype has been running since March 2010, according to Rosch.
.Visitors were not allowed to examine the prototype in detail. After the prototype was dismantled, observers noticed a bricked-up and whitewashed hole in the wall, from which the prototype was apparently secretly supplied with electricity via a hidden cable
First of all, you are mixing/confusing Flooid and KPP system methods.

The results found that the system's efficiency was very low due to a loss due to wind leakage at the filling point. the chain conveyed up rust, as well as the generator was low.
With the problem will lead to further development of Kinetic Power Plant V2.
