"Thermoacoustic Metronome heat engine!
This engine is mixture ringbom and manson engine (and thermoacoustic engine)!
This engine similar ringbom or free piston stirling engine because have two piston. But the wider piston is the power piston, the thinner is only governing piston! Thus this engine similar manson engine too, because the power piston moves the displacer. Engine cycle is similar manson cycle, but there is not valve on it instead governing piston performs a gas compression and rarefaction ((with 90-degree phase shift)).
Governing piston can be made from solid, liquid and gas piston ( gasturbine or gas piston)
Thermoacoustic metronome heat engine similar thermoacoustic heat engines too because governing piston is made from gas piston (0.5 -5 meters tube).
Thermoacoustic metronom heat engine benefits:
simple
power piston can be from a membrane
durable, there is no any friction, free piston ...
cheap
good - value for money
High efficiency
good performance

I think this engine is the future. This engine is better than any stirling engine. Why do the people not build this? I do not understand... In addition, this engine can be integrated easily under pressure ... I do not understand

Hallo, Tibsim. I think that it's time to found a "group of work", I've seen that you have maked a lot of changes in your metronome, but I think that is necessary to investigate every single component prior to change it...So if you make a "point zero" design (design,not youtube) I can make exactly the same stuff with ide tical materials/dimensions and share results of every modification....I will try to involve people from this Italian forum http://faidateoffgrid.org/forum/viewtop ... t=Stirling there are peoples with good hands like you..
P.S. Pressurizing ??? Why not ?

Ciao mastrovetraio! In my next videos I will experiments with an under pressure engine.
I like play but I am not a clever and skillfull. I think when this engine will be built by much people this engine will be much more better. Not a model, a real very good engine.
Engine works over a wide range of the parameters. Only cone membrane must be made very well, then with the masses the engine can be easily adjusted in a few minutes.

I have understood why the cylindrical work poorly. You speak of "thermo acoustic", but you don't respect the ACOUSTIC. A cylinder will resonate by itself, with counteracting energy. You have to use a double trumpet shape, front to front, with the diaphragm in the middle. No counteracting energy, but amplified energy. Like in a "horn loudspeaker".

I will try and build this. I think maybe " Tyvek" might be good for cone. How hot does the cone get? Also can pipe that contains the cone be copper? Or does it have to be steel? Very nice engine tibsim.
