High powered Stirling going into production
High powered Stirling going into production
Heres their main page complete with videos and specs: http://www.inresol.se
I was on their mailing list and recently received this email:
Dear all of you that are interested in our GENIOUS™ CHP Stirling generator :
Firstly, for the Swedish members, i apologize for my using english.
Secondly, I am sure that you are all now aware due to copywriter infringement our old name ‘MyPower’ - is now known as GENIOUS™
and Finally :
We are proud to announce that we are nearing the finish line and are starting production of the first components for the Stirling engine. We are representing the Nordic Pavillion in London between the 4th and 6th of March, and launching our stirling solutions.
Our plan is that we should be ready to take orders in June 2014 after we return from London, and complete the final european certifications. We currently have a corporate signed order for 10,000 engines to deliver before the end of 2015, therefore the production lines will be started immediately. Our new website is being developed and should go live in a matter of weeks. This will display a lot more updated info including how to buy, and package prices etc. as well as technical data.
We hope to have a global Launch of our products live here in Stockholm Sweden later on in the beginning of September if possible by hosting a live outdoor concert purely powered by GENIOUS™ generators running on biofuels promoting the power and the first truly ‘Green’ concert.
We Thank you for your continuing interest in the Inresol GENIOUS™ products, and will keep you informed of our progress.

Re: High powered Stirling going into production
wow, that is really impressive!
I'm curious when they will deliver the first series of the generators.
I don't want to be too distrustful, but there have been other companies that were to sell engines, and we never heard of these companies.
Hope this company will survive. Nice to see that there are still people that see a future for the Stirling Engine.
Also a question: By making a final assignment we noticed Sweden has many company's that are developing Stirling Engines.
Why Sweden? For example Cleanenergy, United Sun Systems and more companies are based in Sweden, just as this company.
Greets,
Krijn

Re: High powered Stirling going into production
5kw seems like a lot of power for the size.
Re: High powered Stirling going into production
I know one V configuration gamma is almost bound to look like another, but this engine does appear very similar to Dieter Viebach's ST05G http://www.ve-ingenieure.de/projekt_st05g_cnc_engl.html though presumably somewhat larger given the power claims.

Dear all interested in the new GENIOUS™ Stirling solutions.
Thank you to mikeptag for posting our latest info, We have just returned from London where we were representing the Nordic Pavilion at ECOBUILD 2014 at the ExCeL expo.
We were 'bowled over' with the amount of interest we had in our products - most were still unawares of what a Stirling engine was, and those , like yourselves who know, almost got down on bended knee and thanked us as they had been waiting for a small high powered system for many years.
To confirm the data - our 'Portable' Stirling CHP unit (GENIOUS™) produces 5kW continuous electrical power, and approx 17.5kW thermal output at an efficiency of 90% (30 / 60 Elec/thermal) - It is has a multi fuel burner allowing most fuels to run it, we favour pellets for highest efficiency and low cost. This Gamma engine was based on Dieter Viebach's ST05G, as Stefan Larsson - Mastonstråle (founder and CTO) was developing this engine in the early 90's as Lead R&D manager in Vattenfall Power utility here in Sweden. We have completely redesigned many aspects of the engine, cooler chamber, generator, and others ... and now have a fully functioning system that I do believe is the only "DRY" engine on the market. As our engine only contains Nitrogen as its working gas, and no oil lubrication its innards are totally inert and therefore there is NO corrosion or cause for leakages. Therefore we offer a 10 year 90,000 hour guarantee of no maintenance - as long as a small service is completed every 20,000 hours ..
As I mentioned to 'mikeptag' , our new website will go live in a matter of days, although some info and pages may still be 'under construction' - but we need to create awareness and 'believability' that our product can really deliver.
We will receive components for us to build the first 20 new generation engines in a matter of weeks, and when they are built and tested we will post videos on the site.
If you can spread the word to your networks it is greatly appreciated as our main hurdle is creating awareness, as we found in London, most people didn't even know what a Stirling engine was and were also unaware of the solution that is CHP !
Thank you for your interest and please dont hesitate to contact us via our website www.inresol.se

Estimated cost? Retail.
Re: High powered Stirling going into production
I'm sure that the electrical generator should be nearer 60% to 70% efficient rather than the 22% quoted on the web site, Or the 30% quoted on this thread. Ian S C

Re: High powered Stirling going into production
to answer Ian SC question .. the electrical generator is closer to approx 70% efficiency, but the net electrical efficiency is approx 30%
hope this clears that up.
Danny
