Perhaps Darryl Boyd's tin-can Stirling info could be copied/preserved by your new site. The link here no longer works.

I hope this entire site can be preserved in a section of a new site. Hopefully the new owner will set up a chain of helpers that will continue on, this preventing the disaster coming to this site. Darryl Boyed claimed his son or family would take over. Anyone able to contact them?

What happened to: "If this website vanishes on the first of 2025, it will be a well deserved goodbye" ~ from your previous post.

Anyway, I've left PM messages to the admin but never get a response.

Without admin access to the backend I don't know as anyone could become a "new owner".

PMs aren't going to work.

There is a difference here about preserving good information, from allowing mouthpieces to continually smear their ill informed garbage.

I'm only here to correct classical theory misconceptions.

If you want to do good, you will preserve the tin can Stirling sight, but it may be too late for even that. The Boydhouse site seems to be gone too. Darryl was responsible for several sites, not just this one.

PM's work fine, if anyone with the admin password checks the mailbox.

You would do good to get lost. Your so-called "corrections" are not needed or wanted here.

Your opinion stinks.

If no one logs onto the administrative account, they will not read it. It's gone beyond waiting for anyone to log on. Perhaps his family needs help. Of course you are so self centered that probably didn't occur to you.

I was hoping that you two were close enough to have swapped phone numbers.

The Stirling Engine Builders site has already received three apparent spammer registrations.

GeorgeMa, HarryBeia and GarlandM

All registered from the same IP using variations of known spam email addresses (reported to a database by other forum moderators)

For now I have only temporarily banned the common IP associated with these registrations rather than deleting the accounts, just in case I'm mistaken, though that hardly seems possible.

I have also changed the registration from "immediate access" to admin activation. Mostly because GeorgeMa, HarryBeia and GarlandM could probably spam users with PM's, send/harvest emails or who knows what.

Anyway, if you are GeorgeMa, HarryBeia or GarlandM and are reading this and you all use the same computer or router to access the internet and have night jobs sending spam from throw away Gmail accounts and still really do want to join the Stirling Engine Builders Forum let me know.

Ban them from their emails, not there IPs. They are using public domain IPs and you will be interfering with legitimate users ability to log on if they use the same IP. Emails are very specific to the user.

Yes, they can get new emails, but they can get new incognito IPs that are used by legitimate users.

How would you know if "they" are using a public IP?

I know the IP's of all the "legitimate users".

Like I'm going to take advice from a troll.

LOL...

I'm not at troll.

Yes, it's your site. You may be ignorant and unreceptive of anything, even if good advice.

Your a troll and worse. Word police, thought police, stupid, asinine, deranged crackpot know it all who knows nothing.

I've been on this forum 12 years and it was always a nice friendly getaway where everybody could get along and have fun.

You turned it into a hell hole.

Tommy,

It was never nice on this forum, you drove many very smart people away by your narcissism.

Look in a mirror. You attack posters rather than their science. You call them names. When, cherry picking, obfuscating, and lying, fail to brush people off, you resort to cursing. Definitely troll behavior. Immaturity appears to be your friend along with ignorance and arrogance.

Spelled correctly, 'you're the troll'. Look up "you're". Grow up. Mellow out and have another lude.

I've been tweaking the permissions on the Stirling engine builders forum, so now potential spammers will have this view of the forum until vetted.

I may provide some hidden "dummy" forums to spam that only the spammers ((and admin/moderators) can view and access. That would remove any doubt.

They can't spam what they cannot see or access.

Unfortunately this will apply to all newly registered members when logged in (until "activated" by admin)

Sounds like you would be providing a dark web for them to secretly communicate with each other, while giving every new comer a peek to see if they would be interested.

Good luck with that. I hope it doesn't fill your bandwidth with spam.
