Hey there guys ive been lurking around as a guest for a while and have decided to take the plunge lol. Im hoping to build a tin can sterling project with my kids soon. I was wondering though is jb weld power piston holding up well for everyone so far? Thanks for your time and have a great weekend!

Welcome to the club. I recently made a few JB weld pistons. It should be fine for a low to mid temperature engine.

From Wiki
J-B WELD can withstand a constant temperature of 500 °F (260 °C), and the maximum temperature threshold is approximately 600 °F (316 °C) for 10 minutes
A tin can stirling is gamma type and the power piston is at the cold side. I think you will be fine.
