This is the first time i see a flame licker with a bellow (or maybe a membrame might be possible as well), instead of a solid piston.
I like this engine very much, and it almost screams about a tin can version, since bellows and membranes are al lot less demanding when it comes to precision.

Flame licker with bellows???

No way!

He must have found a way to better seal that loose fitting wooden piston there, since it would not be running with only that.
But I guess we have a "tin can flame licker" here.

Simple but enjoyable.Thanks for sharing.

A kind of primitive, but rather air tight seal can be made by making a wide grove in a wooden piston and wrapping it several times with wet string, or strip of leather. It will become form-fit and with a little lubricant, make a near perfect seal.Jagang wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 8:17 am No way!
