Re: Carnot engine
Hello This document explain why a Carnot engine work well. http://rmf.smf.mx/pdf/rmf/37/1/37_1_0087.pdf Remember: Curzon Cycle is a running Carnot Cycle Carnot Cycle is impossible in pactice. I'm talking about an engine not about a quasi static Carnot cycle. I have intentionally chosen to represent ...

Re: Carnot engine
A real Carnot engine has been studied by Curzon and Ahlborn. They use finite time thermodynamics rules. To explain closed reversible cycle we use quasi statics thermodynamics point of view. By this way it is possible to say : The theoretical efficiency of the Stirling engine is almost equal to its m...

Carnot engine
Carnot Engine Carnot described an engine in its work “reflection on the motive power of fire”. The disadvantage of its construction comes owing to the fact that he proposes a displacement of the source of heat whereas Robert Stirling builds an engine which fixed sources of heat and the gas moves bet...

Carnot engine can be done !
A Stirling engine regenerator is never perferct. In fact the efficiency of the régenerator is around 45%. A big loss !! the best way to avoid this problem is to replace isochoric proccess by adiabatic process. At the end you have a real Carnot engine. Displacer is différent ... a 50 kW Carnot engine...
