Re: What are the challenges for making an engine that does real work?
The biggest problem for me would be to seal the gas. If you wish to use helium gas, then it would be a headache for you to seal the gas all along. If you managed to do that, then it would be awesome. What do you guys think?

Re: For Barumman
Or is it that the free piston is supposed to work that way?
I looked in to some books stating that the free piston are of 3 types. So need some help guys?

For Barumman
Hello everyone.
Watched the videos from Barumman. But didnt quite understand the engine not having enough stroke at all. And could it be used to generate about 10kW of electricity using fresnel lens and linear alternator. Throw in the regenerator as well. Any ideas guys?

Re: Sterling Diaphragm Engine
Hello. Liked the concept. Was wondering if this can be scaled up and with fresnel/parabolic lens make a system of say, 10kW. Use a linear alternator?

Plans for a 10kw fresnel lens free piston harwell stirling engine
hello, found out about this site on reddit. Was planning to design a 10 kw stirling engine with fresnel lens. I wanted to do the free piston design known as harwell thermo mechanical generator. Came across some formulae for free piston stirling engine made by Baele and west. But wanted to know its f...
