Re: What is mechanizm to balance pressures?
I have never worked with alpha motor but i think these methods should also work with alpha motors. I followed a discussion on this forum about the use of snifter valve . (http://stirlingengineforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=884#p3234) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=229RG-627es - Snifter valve for...

Re: What is mechanizm to balance pressures?
There are two methods of balancing the pressure that i know 1. Using a check valve. A check valve is installed at the crankcase and it is connected with the compression space of the power piston favourably at TDC. This method helps to maintain the minimum buffer pressure. 2,. Using a cappilary tube....

Design for the beta tye stirling engine
just finished the design part for the stirling.
Swet volume = 110cc
Will soon start the fabrication.
Any inputs will be appriciated.

Re: Advice on number of regenerator tubes.
Thankyou for the generous response.Yes these are for the hot end heat exchanger and will also form cooler space. For the rhombic drive i followed dimensionless analysis by peace labs. Can you please explain" having the power cylinder sleeved down". At crank angle 0 the displacer is at top ...

Advice on number of regenerator tubes.
Just Completed some calculations on beta stirling. I need help on number of regenerator tubes reuired for the purpose. The engine is a beta type stirling engine with rhombic drive. Vse = 118cm^3 Vsc = 103 cm^3 Phase angle = 108 Pressure applied = 75 psi/517kpa Th = 576K (Kerosene burner) Tc = 303K I...

Re: "Hi" We are new here!
I am a final year Mechanical Engineering student and taken Stirling engine as my final year project. Have only 3 months to complete the project. ;evil; Will go with beta configration with rhombic drive. Have some experience with ic engines but no encounter with stirlings. Begining from scratch. Star...
