Re: Car A/C compessor for cooling the cold side?
Sound interesting, but. If you propose to pressurise your motor, I think an automotive engine block may be unsuitable, it would be nice if it was that easy. I think that the AC pump might take about 1/2 horse power / 375Watts to drive it. Maybe a domestic refrigerator could be adapted, they use abo...

Re: regenerator design
A few thoughts on this. You need both high and low thermal conductivity. The body of the regen needs to have a low conductivity and I can only come up with one answer to this and it is a high temp resin composite. Works in jet engines. The higher the thermal conductivity of the substrate the better....

Re: Graphite Bar
Dear Friend, 3.-Why ringless pistons ceramic coated run on metal liners? What if we coat both liner and piston? Interesting thing I discovered while experimenting with nylon filament for 3D printing, materials that will stick to nothing else will stick to themselves readily and often quite strongly....

Car A/C compessor for cooling the cold side?
I apologize if this has been covered before, google anything with the words Stirling and cool and all you get is using Stirling as cold pumps. A bit annoyed at the amount of research it takes to find any real info on these engines that doesn't pertain to building one out of a soda can. I am interest...

Re: Metal 3D printing
Conjecture for me is frustrating regarding 3D Printing and Metal 3D Printing. I would much rather have possession of one or more 3D Printers to experiment with. I want to develop the 3D Modeling skills needed to design the files to use to 3D Print but alas, like a starving artist financing the purc...
