Re: ITS GENIOUS™ - 10 kW portable CHP stirling

Awesome!!! Ive been saving up! Will the units have a burner that accepts all types of fuel, or will different add ons have to be installed? For example, can I hook a propane line into it and switch to pellets when I have them? Im also thinking about the insurance company. They will probably see it l...

Re: 25 watt Stirling for sale

Doesn't it look almost exactly like this engine? This video claims 100 watts

Re: High powered Stirling going into production

Finally. Heres a movie of the stirling engine going into production:

Re: High powered Stirling going into production

Checked out the new website. This is exciting! Looking forward to pictures of the final production model. I contacted my favorite alternative energy store to let them know and maybe become a distributor. Do you think there will be leasing plans for customers in the United States? Either way Im going...

Re: High powered Stirling going into production

Could the Genious could be used to make its own wood pellets? A $2000 wood pellet maker with a 5 HP electric motor running for an hour can make 110-265 lbs of pellets from sawdust, leaves, cardboard, grass etc. If I am understanding the design correctly, it should be able to handle the motors startu...

Re: High powered Stirling going into production

working towards a batterybank allows the engine to run much more optimally than if having to sync to eg 50Hz/60Hz AC (20-25% more efficient). :) The above point is worth restating to back up why there is a high voltage battery included in the stirling system. I understand it as with an AC generator...

Re: High powered Stirling going into production

The configuration described above also allows for a smaller house battery bank, which means a smaller environment footprint, because instead of having a large bank/high wattage inverter to accommodate large loads, the stirling is simply run during those times to power them directly. Im picturing tha...

Re: High powered Stirling going into production

From my understanding, the battery and computer included in the stirling design is to balance the system and provide the optimum efficiency. For of grid use, the configuration is simple, and exactly as if you have a AC generator. You start the stirling and connect the ac output to a battery charger....

Re: High powered Stirling going into production

Am I converting correctly? You said the thermal output is 17.5kW. Is that 60,000 btu/h? Am I correct that the circulating coolant heat output is enough to heat a house in the winter with hot water radiators?

Re: Big Stirling Engine

Sorry for misunderstandings for not being precise. I did not mean what I wrote to be understood as accusing anyone at Hyporex of claiming to invent the Stirling fan. The person I am refering to is named Waheed Babur. Heres is a link to the youtube news article. http://pkpolitics.com/discuss/topic/ga...

Re: Hyporex engine

Yes I received a private message from Mr Sultan of Hyporex as well. He said he was insulted by one of my posts, which is odd because I am actually a fan of their website and check it regularly for updates on their projects and am considering a purchase. I also have emailed them a few times with ques...
