Re: Blade Attila Live Stream

Dear Tom! :) Thanks for sharing my page! Unfortunately, I have very little time due to my new job. However, I travel a lot and have been involved in several interesting projects related to Stirling engines. Unfortunately, they are not public, but just yesterday I received a promise that I will have ...

Re: Metropop-pop?

The engine has power piston. The popping effect used on the conroller tube. Yep that water moves back and forth as we wanted but the real power is on the other piston. So for the next generations of boat we should use the power piston's stroke too for pumping. Also we should use the water for cold s...

Re: Alpha free piston engine as a cooler (prototype)

This is an Alpha. No displacer in. One drived piston on the hot side, and one free (rubber boots piston) on the cold side. That's all!

Alpha free piston engine as a cooler (prototype)

Hi there, I started to make a simple but effective Stirling cooler just for fun. The base is a cheap aquarium air pump from RESUN (ACO-003). I hacked it a bit, closed the holes are there, took off some valve, insulate the great aluminium piston with styrofoam. The piston diameter is 45mm, the maximu...

Re: Beta stirling engine simulator

My opinion is really different. If the heater chamber's length is 2/3 rd of the Length, then the cooling capacity wont be enough!!! Also not working well the regenerator in it. The basic drawings are said 50/50 percent of volume hot side/cold side, but it is no good enough too. The heat separation i...

Re: This might be useful for low power stirlings

I wonder what the intended purpose of the thing might be. Complete elimination of side load and there are other benefits for IC. BTW. This is not new at all. Look at this 1802 steam engine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMSlK5nH6HA New, magnetic hypocycloid gear idea: https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Rhombic drive vs. My "L" yoke drive

I'm not pretty shure about A.O.'s engine, but everything is possible... ( Do you know the Hundredth monkeys effect? :) ) I seen some alpha type engine, but beta type I never seen before from him. Your mechanism is nice, but the strokes are different. That was the point why I started to develope for ...

Why better a photo? The CAD is perfect for simulate the whole movements. The mechanism with 90 degrees "L" shaped yoke on a normal also on a closer view: [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnvhYz3iasQ[/BBvideo] [BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZLfyWwUWpI[/BBvid...

Rhombic drive vs. My "L" yoke drive

Hello everyone! I developed a "new" crank design in the last few months for a beta type Stirling engine. Started point was a triangle yoke design, follow A. Ross earlier works. After optimized step by step the mechanism part's dimensions. I knew the Ruby crank design, but there are lot of ...

Re: How you can build an easy free piston Stirling engine?

Ian, I'm interested about your picture! I used wire spring in the hot side yet, but that always deformated when I heated up the engine. Cold side spring is better, but there some problem to be solved. Not enough space for it, but the dead volume is not accepted. I used some accordion, so the DVR an ...

Re: How you can build an easy free piston Stirling engine?

Thanks very much! But don't worry about the part list! You can subtitute some parts. If you have time to check my other videos, you will see my other solutions...so simple things, as my NASA "developing" step by step video, where I used only cyanoacrylate glue for everything...but shure th...
