Re: Stirling Textbooks?
Hi
My best advice is looking around the net, with a little efford you can piece things together
Or even better;Read:http://www.boydhouse.com/stirling/index.html
Then build the walking beam.It dosnt cost much and easy to build.
This will give you an idee of the princibel,in real life.(hands dirty)

Hi
Take a look at "OASIS".
Very fragile , dusty and easy to form.
It works very well on my LTDs
Not suitable for hi temp though.

Hi
2 stroke diesel engine without glowhead.
The key-screw on top adjust the compression.
Like the old modelplane motors, before the glowplug.

1816 engine
Hi
I am looking for some good pictures or drawings of the original stirling engine (1816).
I want to make a paper model and need info
Found some drawings on the net, including a drawing from the original patent.
Not enough to get the proportions right.
Can anyone help?

Re: Use pneumatic actuator cylinders for a Stirling model?
Hi Dont use pencil lead,I tryed. Its sticky. Pencil lead is containing clay, not good for friction. Use graphite powder or an lubricant containing graphite. Use the same amount graphite as the epoxy-hardner.Very little! Heres some of my specs. http://stirlingengineforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=267...

Re: Pressure and temperature measurements
Hi HeavyChevy Thanks for your answer. If you just want to show the poweroutput you can attach a little dc-motor to the flyweel and a multimeter to show the poweroutput. Voltage/revs or with a load (LED) amps/rev. Check this for a cheap and easy rev.counter:http://stirlingengineforum.com/viewtopic.ph...
